Cara Delevingne expresses devastation as her Los Angeles residence is consumed by fire: '‘My heart is broken today’

Early Friday morning, March 15th, a devastating house fire engulfed the residence of actress and model Cara Delevingne, located in the Los Angeles area. The incident occurred in Studio City, nestled within the Hollywood Hills, with emergency responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department arriving on the scene just before 4 a.m. local time.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered intense flames originating from the back of the house, which swiftly spread to the attic, exacerbating the situation. Amidst the chaos, one firefighter sustained injuries and was subsequently transported to the hospital in fair condition. Additionally, one individual inside the home suffered from minor smoke inhalation, further underscoring the severity of the situation.

Efforts to contain the fire proved to be an arduous task, as it took the concerted efforts of 94 firefighters over the course of more than two hours to fully extinguish the blaze. Tragically, by the time the fire was brought under control, the roof of the two-story residence had already collapsed, adding to the devastation wrought by the inferno.

Currently starring in the West End production of "Cabaret" in London, Cara Delevingne, known for her role in "Carnival Row," found herself grappling with a distressing situation when her Los Angeles home was engulfed in flames. While Delevingne was across the pond for her performance, she took to Instagram Stories to address the heartbreaking incident.

Accompanied by an image of her beloved cats, Delevingne shared her sentiments, expressing profound sadness over the unfortunate turn of events. Additionally, she posted a video capturing the scene outside her home, showing fire trucks lined up along the road.

In a display of gratitude, Delevingne extended her appreciation to the firefighters who bravely responded to the emergency, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of life and urging others to cherish what they have. LAFD said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
