Beyoncé's Hair Care Brand, CECRED, Has Arrived!
The anticipation has ended: Beyoncé's haircare brand, Cécred, is now officially accessible as of today for enthusiasts of both her work and beauty aficionados worldwide.
The research and development of Cécred have spanned several years. This brand not only boasts scientific validation, supported by thorough clinical, salon, and laboratory testing, but also seeks to enhance the cherished traditions of hair care.
In an interview, Beyonce said it’s been her lifelong dream to create these hair products and bring some of her mother’s teachings to life. She started by prioritizing the needs of textured hair like hers and others who lack moisture and strength. It was important for her to honor past rituals while infusing her personal touch by adding advanced science to build new sacred rituals.
She Further explained how she built Cécred from the ground up. She poured into it everything she learned throughout her life. So, we can borrow some of our past and bring it to the future. Cécred is about prioritizing yourself and all the things you hold sacred.
The eight-piece collection includes a clarifying shampoo and scalp scrub, a reconstructing treatment mask, hydrating shampoo, moisturizing deep conditioner, moisture-sealing lotion, nourishing hair oil, fermented rice and rose ritual treatment, and a "shaking vessel" designed to blend the ritual treatment seamlessly.
The Foundation Collection focuses on visible hair health, strength, moisture, and shine.
Utilizing a custom technology called bioactive keratin ferment, the collection accommodates all hair types and textures, with prices ranging from $30 to $52.
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, the founder and chairwoman of Cécred, is pictured with the brand's inaugural collection.
In a conversation with Essence magazine, the superstar shared her sentiments regarding the significance of the hair care line.
"Cécred represents a legacy endeavor for me, deeply intertwined with my ancestry," she expressed. "It transcends mere business. Hair embodies our heritage and family narrative. By harnessing established ingredients and pioneering our proprietary, patent-pending technology, we've crafted a range that resonates universally."
Cécred has established a philanthropic division as well. Through collaboration with BeyGood, Beyoncé's public charity foundation, the brand plans to distribute $500,000 in grants for small businesses and scholarships for cosmetology schools.
As promised, the products are now accessible on the brand's official website, cecred.com, starting Tuesday. If you're unsure about which products to try, there's a hair quiz available to guide you towards the ideal products tailored to your individual hair needs.
